Stephen H. Kahler, M.D.

Plastic Surgeon

Dr. Stephen H. Kahler is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, specializing in Aesthetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery. He is Board Certified through The American Board of Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Kahler is a Graduate of the Emory University School of Medicine and completed his General Surgery training within the Emory University Affiliated Hospital System in Atlanta, Georgia. He completed his Fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Penn State University Hospital / Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He has obtained Added Qualifications in Endoscopic Plastic Surgery and Laser Surgery.

Dr. Kahler is an active member of numerous medical societies including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS).

Dr. Kahler lives in Carrollton, Georgia with his family since moving here in 1995. He is actively involved in the community and has served in numerous leadership positions within the Tanner Health System, including Chief of the Medical Staff.

Candi Childers

Aesthetician

Candi is a graduate of The International School of Skin in Atlanta, Georgia where she graduated at the top of her class in Aesthetic Education. She has also attended The International Dermal Institute in Atlanta for continuing education and additional specialized training. She is an Aesthetician and Makeup Artist licensed by the state of Georgia. Candi is also a graduate of Truett-McConnell College in Cleveland, Georgia where she earned her Associate’s Degree in Arts. Candi joined NuVea MedSpa in May 2008.

As Lead Aesthetician, Candi evaluates and recommends a treatment plan tailored to the client’s skin care concerns, as well as a skin care regimen. Candi performs an extensive array of advanced anti-aging and rejuvenating skin treatments including facials, chemical and acid peels, Sapphire Photo Abrasion with LED light therapy, treatment enhancements and hair removal by wax.

Jennifer N. Brown

R.N., BSN, Licensed Aesthetician

Jennifer Brown, both a registered nurse and licensed aesthetician, is eminently and uniquely qualified to provide these services as part of our practice offerings.  She is supervised by Dr. Stephen H. Kahler, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.  In addition to her educational merits, Ms. Brown has achieved advanced training in the use of these lasers as part of her continuing education.  Such advanced training is a must, especially in light of renewed interest in patient safety as it relates to laser therapy.

Regulation of cosmetic laser services (the Georgia Cosmetic Laser Services Act) has been passed by the Georgia legislature since 2009, but has yet to be enacted.  The main goal of this Act is to help ensure the health and safety of consumers in Georgia when undergoing laser therapy.  Ms. Brown is committed to this cause and will maintain the highest standards of quality and safety as these guidelines continue to emerge.
